Waffles are good. I mean really good. Well they were as of a few days ago. Needed them whenever I could get them, but they were best at night.
“I think we might be in for a little surprise.”
“I think… I might be pregnant.”
“Well why don’t we run down to the store, so we can find out.”
“Really?! Right now?”
“Best time as any.”
“Aww I love you.”
“And I love you random citizen.”
“Nothing. Let me grab some clothes.”

Off to the hospital we went.
I tried to wait for Kiwi to get off work, but he never got any of the messages. I delivered a healthy baby boy that night, and I decided to give him a very special name in honor of his father and my late grandmother.
Midnight Moss Licorice.
